The Garden

The garden's inspiration is a charming retreat where residents both young and old can enjoy some rest and serenity, an overall harmony that charms the eye at every turn. Leave the city behind when you pass under the rich foliage of an enormous magnolia tree, a palm tree and a two mimosa trees near the entrance. All along the side of the garden is a pergola that supports a lush climbing vine and kiwi plants that shelters low benches from which a visitor can survey the garden on one side and the sea view on the other. To the right of the pergola, in front of the house, is a large lawn decorated with different colors climbing rose bushes and various holly, lavanda and azalea bushes. On the loan, shaded by a trio of olive trees, hangs a confortable hammock. Right in front of the rear entrance and in front of the loan there's a dining area for up to 20 people. Along the perimeter wall there are hanging baskets and container gardens displaying a variety of herbs as well as lemon trees. All around the gardens are annuals and perennials plants, such as geraniums, sweet alyssum, ivy, columbine, lithodora, lavender, astilbe, and small rose bushes.

The wonderful view and the superlative sunset are best enjoyed from the terrace and its gazebo. Built with an octagonal shape, it has four regular windows and four french windows opening to the terrace. With its frescoed ceiling and walls and its wooden floor it is an heaven of tranquillity.
